2007 Hands-On Choral Workshop at the CCP

The Cultural Center of the Philippines is now accepting applications for the 2007 Hands-on Choral Workshop, which will be held on October 23-27, 2007 (Tuesday-Saturday) from 9 AM to 5 PM in various venues of the CCP. The Workshop is an intensive choral clinic open to amateur choirs and conductors who wish to develop their skills in choral singing, conducting and performance. The Workshop trainors are members and alumni of the world renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers. The Workshop sessions include vocalization techniques, sectional rehearsals, conducting techniques for conductors, individual choir sessions, note reading sessions and plenary sessions. This year’s Workshop shall include a festival component, which it is implementing for the first time. Registered choir participants and possibly other invited choirs shall render performances in different CCP venues in the afternoon and evening, within the 5-day period. Its culminating concert will be held at the CCP Main
Theater on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 3:30 pm. This highly regarded annual Workshop has produced winners in local and international choral competitions.

Due to the very limited slots available, registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
